Milton Bradley

Simon

The Simon memory game came to market with the help of Milton Bradley. The man who created this piece of history was Ralph Baer, creator of the original Magnavox Odyssey. He made the system under the company he was working for, Marvin Glass, in 1977.

The Simon unit was modeled after Nolan Bushnell's Touch Me game that he had seen at a previous convention. This seems ironic since Bushnell had modelled the Atari Darlene after what the Odyssey could do.

The notes played on the Simon's colored triangles were C, G, E, and B which are harmoneous no matter what order they were played in.
