Tiger Game.Com Pro The second wave of Tiger's Game.Com was the Game.Com Pro in 1999. There were some advantages and disadvantages of the Game.Com Pro over the original Game.Com. For one, depending on which model of Game.Com Pro you got, it may or may not have been backlit. Green, red, purple, and blue units were usually not backlit and the black ones were backlit. The original Game.Com was just a normal LCD screen, no backlighting. The problem was that the Game.Com Pro had only one cartridge slot, not two. It was smaller though, compared to the Game.Com. The Game.Com Pro still had the phone and address book function, calculator, calender, and high score manager. The stylus pen was moved to the back of the system. The Game.Com Pro played all of the Game.Com software. The comport on the system let the user link up to another system or internet. The system used a CR2016 battery along with 2 AA batteries for data save and power. The AA batteries could be replaced with a permanent power supply from a 9V AC adapter. To save power, the unit shut off after 3 minutes of idle time.
