Tiger R Zone Extreme
Pocket Gear
Extreme Pocket
Gear. Closed and ready for travel
The
R Zone came out in 1995 and was Tiger's first attempt at a programmable
handheld system. It came in a few different models. The Xtreme Pocket
Gear, Headgear, and Super
Screen. The red bar across the front of the system is the top
of the game cartridge. The game then reflects onto the red screen
(propped up in the image below)
In
many ways, the R-Zone series was a glorified Tiger
pocket game. Both were based on LCD screens, but the R-Zone
was able to have changable cartridges.
Open
and ready for play.
